T O P I C R E V I E WSibylI challenge you to join me in; Selling 100 things in 2020. This year I am going to try to spend less,Invest more (Global Index Funds for the win)And sell sell sell! :-) I'm trying not to be so awfully consumerist, spending and throwing (or as in my case: giving) away in an eternal loop. So I am going to start this weekend by going through my stuff, down pairing and trying to sell things off. I will sell anything I think I don't need and think I can get upwards of 10$ for. At the same time I will try to spend as little as I can, so I can save up and invest my money, only spending on things I really need. I challenge you to try the same. Maybe we can share experiences on how it's going?SibylRandallGreat idea.mirage29I've never been good at selling my things.Usually give them away to folks I see who could use it, or to charity organizations. Good Luck to you, Sibyl.Downsizing feels really clean. It's good to have a feel for what you definitely spend money on too. I live on a tiny fixed income. When I feel an urge to splurge, I'll buy things I'm going to actually need (like bath and personal supplies), and give self the feeling that I'm a luxurious 'spender'. Or go to thrift store for a new item of clothing.Way long ago, I had a brother who was good at selling his things. (I was a good customer to him. ..)Lexxigramer quote:Originally posted by Sibyl:I challenge you to join me in; Selling 100 things in 2020. However I have to forgo taking your challenge.I have nothing to sell and already living far far below the poverty line;up to not getting very very needed items. Doing without is too often the only choice.I wish that my lot in life improves so that I could just live normally.Anyhow;again;great idea/challenge!Many folks need to do that!
